Gasoline Brothers at Haldern Festival? Why not!

Gasoline Brothers fan Tim Kroesbergen recently confessed that he needed an excuse to buy tickets for the Haldern Festival in Germany. This is what he tweeted (in Dutch):

Alien Spaceship Receiver is probably the weirdest song we’ve ever recorded. Gabri van Lee just created a really strange video that uses Alien Spaceship Receiver as a soundtrack. All you see is a cool timelapse movie of melting snow. And some UFO’s, too… Check it out:

Create a cool Valentine’s Day video for The Gasoline Brothers (and win!)

In 3 weeks time it’s Valentine’s Day. You may know that The Gasoline Brothers have a song about that, celebrating both the joy and disappointment of Valentine’s Day. Now we’re looking for creative people who want to make a cool video for our song Valentine’s Day. Cheesy videos, beautiful animations, funny images, serious love stories, anything is welcome!

Can you do it? Please make a video, upload it to Youtube or Vimeo and email us to let us know where we can watch it.

The video we like best, will get the Eternal Fame Award and will be published on our blog and website. We will promote it via Twitter, Facebook, the lot! Moreover, the maker will receive a cool Gasoline Brothers Goodie Bag!

We didn’t win the Award – Now making plans for 2010

You’ve probably heard it: The Gasoline Brothers did not win the Interactive Award last Friday. Thumbs up and congrats to Krause, who took the Award, the flowers and the money!

So what about the Gas Bros? Well, we’ll be making plans for 2010 this Wednesday. We’ll surely continue to come up with interactive music concepts. One thing is crystal clear: there will be some Gas Bros live shows in the Spring of 2010.

Als The Gas Bros de Interactive Award winnen: songwriting 2.0 (Twitteraars schrijven liedjes!)

Stem op The Gasoline Brothers voor de Interactive Award 2010!
Zoals je weet zijn The Gasoline Brothers in 2009 nogal in de weer geweest met nieuwe media, lekker bandje 2.0 spelen. Deze case is nu genomineerd voor een Interactive Award – de winnaar wordt a.s. vrijdag 15 januari bekend op Eurosonic/Noorderslag.

Wat moet je doen?
We vinden het tof als je op ons wilt stemmen op deze pagina: http://www.interactive-awards.nl/index.cfm?pid=15 (The Gasoline Brothers zijn de bovenste case. Klik eerst op 5 sterren en dan op Vote!). Stuur dit bericht ook vooral door aan al je vrienden, want de publieksuitslag telt voor 1/7 mee in het eindoordeel.

Als we winnen: songwriting 2.0
Als The Gasoline Brothers de Award winnen (en de geldprijs die daarbij hoort), willen we iets terugdoen voor alle Twittervrienden die we de afgelopen maanden hebben opgedaan. We gaan songschrijven via/met Twitter! Het idee is dat alle Twitteraars die denken een goed liedje te hebben (of alleen een goede tekst of melodie) dat kunnen indienen bij de band. Ziet de band potentie in het idee, dan gaan de broeders serieus aan de slag om een echt liedje te schrijven met de input van de Twitteraars. Uiteraard krijg je als (mede-)auteur ook songwriting-credits, dus je wordt niet genaaid als de band ineens een hit scoort

De beste liedjes worden in de studio opgenomen voor een nieuwe Gasoline Brothers-cd.  Het gaat dus om een hele cd, en niet alleen maar om één liedje. Een titel hebben we ook al: ‘RT’!
